I believe that this ad is sexist. Its sending the message that men are stronger than women. In this ad you can see a man holding down a woman while three other men stand on the side watching. The woman's pose is showing how she is struggling to get away. The audience this ad might want to attract would be young males from the ages of 21-30 who like to feel in control. The image portrayed in the Dolce & Gabanna ad creates a sense of power and fear.
I liked the part with the shirtless guys <_<
ReplyDeletelol I do too!
Deletei think my peer does a good job in explaining what the ad means and how the ad is sexist. and i also think she did a good job in backing up her observations with things from the picture. but i still dont understand who the ad is targeting.
ReplyDeleteMy Peer did a great job explaining the ad, of it being sexist. She explained well, backed up her point very well. Then at the same time its confusing, What does Dolce & Gabbana have to do with men being stronger?
ReplyDeleteI think this post does a decent job at exposing the sexism behind the ad discussed but at the same time i can't help but to disagree. The tonewas fitting to what you were esplaining and i really couln't do it better myself.
